Primal Scream return June 18th with More Light, their first new LP in five years. In this video for the first track from the album, "It's Alright, It's OK," the Scottish rockers hark back to another time with a vintage-looking black-and-white clip that finds them playing the euphoric, gospel-influenced tune in the studio.
The album, a 13-track collection of new songs, was written by Bobby Gillespie and Andrew Innes and produced by David Holmes. "I wanted to convey coming out of a dark time and into a good one," Gillespie said. "We always knew it wasn't going to be a straight -ahead, balls-to-the-wall, high-energy rock & roll, two guitars, bass and drum record. It's sophisticated, layered, cinematic and orchestral; obviously working with Holmes we were hoping to make a record more in keeping with that vision." More Light will be released on the band's own First International label through Ignition Records.
