Pharrell offered a hint about new material Jay-Z has been working on, saying, "The rain man is back," during an interview on New York radio station Hot 97. The producer said that he'd been collaborating with Jay-Z as the MC puts together what could be the follow-up to 2009's The Blueprint 3.
Pharrell – who just appeared on Daft Punk's triumphant comeback single "Get Lucky" – also named some of the other artists he's working with, a ridiculous list that includes Beyoncé, No Doubt, Kendrick Lamar, Schoolboy Q, Busta Rhymes, Jennifer Hudson and Miley Cyrus.
"She can tell you everything about Waka Flocka," Pharrell said of Cyrus. "She can tell you when Gucci Mane came out. Like she means it cause she grew up with it, she grew up listening to that with all her friends. Her day job was one thing, but hanging out with her friends – you saw some of the trouble she got into online, she was showing you the signs she was a different girl."
