Cedric Gervais wastes no time getting down to brass tacks on his new remix of Lana Del Rey's "Young and Beautiful," which you can take an exclusive first listen to now. Over steady percussion, schizophrenic synths build to blistering heights, then drop off into something much more calming. Don't worry, though, that's just the first minute: Gervais makes good on fulfilling the promise of that first crescendo, following it up with rave-tastic synth storms throughout the rest of his reworking of Del Rey's contribution to The Great Gatsby soundtrack.
"I'm a huge fan of Lana Del Rey's music and having already remixed 'Summertime Sadness,' I was excited to work with her again on 'Young and Beautiful,'" says Gervais. "Her voice is amazing and I built an entirely new instrumental around the vocal. It's killer for the dance floor but also something that sounds great in the car."
