Frank Ocean and Grimes were among the winners at last night's 17th-annual Webby Awards, and Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga were also recognized for their impressive social media presences. The Grammy-winning Ocean, who opened up about his sexuality on Tumblr last July, scored top honors with Webby Person of the Year. Grimes, who's used Tumblr as a platform to rail against sexism and other issues, picked up Webby Music Artist of the Year.
Bieber won the People's Voice Award in the Social Media Campaigns category for the launch of his "Girlfriend" fragrance, while Gaga received the Celebrity/Fan Social Presence Webby Award for her social media integration with her storefront at Barney's.
Other notable winners included Kevin Spacey and Dana Brunetti in the Webby Special Achievement category for the Netflix series House of Cards, Jerry Seinfeld in Outstanding Comedic Performance, and the Obama for America 2012 presidential campaign in Webby Breakout of the Year.
