Following the cancellation of Against Me!'s spring tour, Laura Jane Grace has announced a handful of solo shows where she'll most likely preview songs from the punk group's long-awaited new album Transgender Dysphoria Blues, MTV reports. The mini-tour kicks off at MilkBoy in Philadelphia on August 10th and wraps up at New York City's Bowery Ballroom on the 15th. Against Me! is still scheduled to play at Chicago's Riot Fest in September.
In a recent Tweet, Grace said she finished tracking Transgender Dysphoria Blues "at the cost of a lot of friends and having probably ruined my life." The album will mark Against Me!'s first since Grace, born Tom Gabel, came out as transgender in a Rolling Stone feature last year.
Against Me!'s initial spring tour with Bad Religion and Polar Bear club was canceled in part to the departure of drummer Jay Weinberg, with bassist Andrew Seward leaving the group soon after. The band's lineup has since been in flux, with NOFX frontman Fat Mike and drummer Adam "Atom" Willard reportedly jamming with the band during recent recording sessions.
