Natalie Cole Will Be Laid To Rest In Los Angeles On Monday
A new development has occurred in the passing of Natalie Cole. According to the Associated Press, the late singer, who’s the daughter of Nat King Cole, will be laid to rest in Los Angeles, Calif. on Monday (Jan. 11).
Award-winning artist Chaka Khan will also sing at the funeral, which will take place at the West Angeles Church of God in Christ. The site also reports that Cole will be buried next to her parents.
The music industry shared their memories of the revered artist when they learned of her passing, and one of her close friends, Patti LaBelle, also released her sentiments. In an interview with Billboard, LaBelle said, “She was a beautiful spirit, a consummate artist and an inspiration to so many. Natalie will be truly missed, but her light will shine forever.”
On New Year’s Eve, news broke that the “Our Love” vocalist passed away from pulmonary arterial hypertension. She was 65.
