'Narcos' Season 2 Thrusts Rodrigo Amarante's 'Tuyo' Back Onto Charts

Brazilian singer-songwriter Rodrigo Amarante's "Tuyo" was nominated for a 2016 Emmy after it became known to Netflix viewers as the theme song for the Pablo Escobar drama Narcos during the show's first season.

Now Narcos is back (season two became available Sept. 2), and so is the song: "Tuyo" lands at No. 5 this week on Billboard's Latin Digital Songs Chart, where it first landed in 2015; it debuts at No. 40 on Hot Latin Songs.

Amarante is currently on a solo tour, showcasing his socially introspective non-Netflix indie rock repertoire (although at his concerts he's bound to treat fans to a little "Tuyo"); electro-acoustic jewels included on the multi-lingual artist's solo album Cavalo.

After stops in South America, Amarante will play a string of intimate dates in the U.S, and Canada, whose far-flung venues reflect the exposure he's received from the show. He starts the North American shows off on Sept. 21 at The Sinclair in Cambridge, MA,  and wraps up Oct. 1 at the Grey Eagle Tavern in Asheville, NC.
