MuteMath's Paul Meany remixes Twenty One Pilots' 'Stressed Out' for Louisiana flood relief

MuteMath frontman Paul Meany is helping his home state by donating the proceeds from a new song to aid the Lousiana flood relief efforts.

A remix of Twenty One Pilots' track "Stressed Out," Meany's song is titled "Stressed Out (mellowmatics remix)" and features some vocal contributions from his young daughter, Amelia. MuteMath just returned from a 47-date national tour with Twenty One Pilots.

The remix, which infuses MuteMath's synth sound with the Pilots' rock and pop lyrics, is available via MuteMath’s website, with suggested donations starting at $1 and ranging up to $100. "Following the devastating floods in our home state of Louisiana, we'd like to donate all funds raised from the download of this remix to help those in need," the band, which hails from New Orleans, stated on its website.

Meany isn't the only musician to address the Louisiana flood; fellow Louisiana native Britney Spears teamed up with the American Red Cross and Crowdrise to auction off a trip to MTV's Video Music Awards in New York, as well as the outfit she'll wear to the event, to raise money for relief efforts.

The floods in Louisiana, which left 13 people dead and more than 40,000 people displaced, is the worst natural disaster in the U.S. since Hurricane Sandy in 2012, according to the Red Cross.
