Allan Holdsworth, the late British guitarist who could make his instrument sing like few others, has been remembered by the many rock stars and musos he inspired.
The innovative guitarist, who reportedly died Saturday (April 15) at the age of 70, shaped the sounds of Van Halen, Joe Satriani and many more with his fusion and prog-rock chops and a bewildering talent for two-handed finger tapping.
Satriani, Toto's Steve Lukather, Peter Frampton and Journey's Neal Schon led tributes to the "one-of-a-kind" guitarist.
