Fans can hear the next Hardwired...To Self-Destruct song early by grabbing a mask at their local record shop.

By Matthew Strauss.

On November 18, Metallica will release their new album Hardwired…To Self-Destruct (via Blackened Recordings). They’ve already shared the album’s “Hardwired” and “Moth Into Flame,” and on Halloween they’ll release a third song, “Atlas, Rise!” It’s out at 3 p.m. Eastern on October 31, but fans can hear it 30 minutes early using a special access code. That code will be placed inside Hardwired...To Self-Destruct Halloween masks, available at select independent record stores starting Friday, October 28. See a full list of participating stores here.
