Meghan Trainor Deserves 'Better' in New Music Video, Feat. Yo Gotti

Shying away from her classic uptempo, foot-tapping hits, Meghan Trainor called upon rapper Yo Gotti for her single "Better" -- from her latest album Thank You -- and on Thursday (Sept. 15), the singer released an emotional video to complement the track.

The video begins with Trainor picking up her drunk grandfather from a county jail before leading into a series of events that serve as the backstory behind the heart-wrenching love ballad. Throughout the visual, Trainor is seen constantly picking up the pieces of her grandfather's life as he battles with alcoholism, which eventually leads him to the county jail the video opened up with. Yo Gotti plays the bartender who notifies Trainor of her drunk grandfather's antics before laying down a few lines like "Let's talk about that four letter word: love/ I think you deserve a king/ I think you deserve the world and everything in it."
