Maroon 5 and Kendrick Lamar Share Collab 'Don't Wanna Know': Listen

Maroon 5 and Kendrick Lamar team up for the first time on "Don't Wanna Know," a new song you probably do wanna know.

The new Benny Blanco-produced track dropped just before midnight across all digital retailers and streaming services and was immediately serviced to radio.

Lamar contributes a single verse to the cruisy, tropical-vibe collab. "No more police stop/No more hashtag boo'd up screenshots/No more tryin' make me jealous on your birthday/You know just how I make you better on your birthday, oh," he raps.

Its official music video isn't far away. The clip, which reunites Maroon 5 with David Dobkin, the filmmaker who shot the band's most-viewed video to-date, "Sugar," premieres this Friday (Oct. 14 on NBC's Today).

Interscope's reps claim the new song "showcases another evolution for both artists" and "Don't Wanna Know" does indeed represent the first collaboration proper between Maroon 5 and Lamar, though frontman Adam Levine and Lamar did guest on The Lonely Island's "YOLO" back in 2013.

Levine and co. are slated to deliver the first TV performance of the single Nov. 3 on Ellen. Maroon 5 debuted the song at a September show in San Antonio, minus Lamar's input. It's a good chance they'll give it another plug at their upcoming U.S. headline tour dates, which include a concert this Thursday (Oct. 13) at Porland's Moda Center and a pair of late-December shows in Las Vegas. A raft of 2017 U.S. concerts are also confirmed for February and March.
