Mariah Carey Matched With ‘Empire’ Star in 'Infinity’ Video
Mariah Carey really has a good sense of humor. For example, just give a close listen to the lyrics of her post-breakup song “Infinity” and check out the video that premiered Tuesday.
Carey throws some good jabs in the song with lines like, “Could it be that you just lost the best you’ve every had?,” “Boy, you actin’ so corny like Fritos,” and “Take your head and knock some sense.”
At any rate, she makes it clear that she’s doing just fine as a single woman. Dressed in a shimmery silver gown, she looks enviably svelte in the Brett Ratner-directed clip, which does double duty as commercials for her Caesars Palace residency, her perfume lines, and her new endeavors in online dating.
The top-selling diva, who created a real-life profile on Match.com, uses the site in her video to arrange three dates, among them model Tyson Beckford and Empire star Jussie Smollett. But she has second thoughts when each arrives to pick her up – even though Smollett brings her an adorable white Maltese puppy.
