Listen to Axl Rose Apparently Rehearsing With AC/DC

AC/DC will debut their new Axl Rose-fronted lineup at a concert on May 7th and thanks to some fan-shot rehearsal footage, we can now – just barely – hear what it might sound like.

Based on the camera being focused on the ground, the fan was likely attempting to hide the fact they were filming, but the telltale shrieks of “Thunderstruck” are still somewhat audible. Another recently posted video potentially provides a second example of Axl on the mic, this time singing the AC/DC song, “Shoot to Thrill.”

That video’s title, translated from Portuguese, claims the rehearsal took place in Lisbon, which would make sense since that’s where their first concert is on May 7th. Axl Rose is taking over touring vocal duties for AC/DC after singer Brian Johnson was forced to bow out or risk losing his hearing completely.

As a teaser of what to expect, last month at Coachella AC/DC guitarist Angus Young joined Axl and Guns N’ Roses during their set to perform a few songs by the Aussie band.

But some have not embraced the lineup change. It was recently reported that 7,000 Belgians have requested refunds in advance of the band’s May 16th concert in their country.

Yahoo Music has reached to AC/DC’s publicist to confirm if Axl Rose is in fact singing in these rehearsal videos but has not yet received a response. Watch the leaked videos below. “Thunderstruck”:
