Listen to Chance the Rapper Pray for Kanye, Cover Drake’s 'Feel No Ways'

“I want to just extend this prayer and this love from all the way in Britain”

By Noah Yoo.

Chance the Rapper was a guest on BBC Radio 1Xtra earlier today, bringing the Social Experiment to Trevor Nelson’s program to perform in the 1Xtra Live Lounge, as the Fader points out. He performed the Coloring Bookcut “All We Got” and covered Drake’s “Feel No Ways” off VIEWS. In the middle of “All We Got,” Chance took a moment out to address Kanye West’s recent hospitalization.

“I want to extend a very special prayer to my big brother, Kanye West. I know there's a lot of weird folks out there but you already know that I'm a hundred grand,” he said. “I want to just extend this prayer and this love from all the way in Britain. We might come home early to see this man. Happy Thanksgiving.”

When asked about what Kanye’s going through, Chance says, “I think everybody goes through it. And I think right now, probably what he needs more than anything is his real, close friends and family around.”

Listen to the session here; the segment with Chance begins around the 2:16:00 mark.
