Sometimes life just feels like a battle you're waging inside your own head. In the new Tim Mattia-directed clip for the song "Heavy," Linkin Park lead singer Chester Bennington is clearly dealing with some inner demons that just won't let go. The moody video for the first single from the band's upcoming One More Light (May 19) album stars Bennington and the track's guest vocalist, a pink-haired Kiiara, as a pair who appear to be fighting through some rough times in some kind of recovery program.
And, judging from the amount of glass wear and household objects Bennington smashes around in a rage, perhaps there are a few anger issues in the mix as well. Part of the problem appears to be Kiiara's impassive nature, as she sits in group with a black hoodie over her head, her pink-streaked hair covering her face. The conflict between them explodes during circle time as Kiiara sings, "I keep dragging around what's bringing me down / If I just let go I'd be set free."
Eventually, things really spin out of control and Bennington has a Fight Club-esque battle with himself in a bathroom that appears to spark a breakthrough between the pair.
