"It's a confident title choice - and a little nod to Kanye West," the singer told "Graham Norton Show" (via Glamour), referring to West's latest album Yeezus. Allen's publicist confirmed the title to Rolling Stone.
The singer revealed the title before performing new song "Air Balloon." Allen recently released a Gravity-themed video for the song, describing it as "Bullock on a budget" on Twitter. The clip is a fun and grounded fantasy befitting of the song's fantastical and escapist lyrics.
Earlier this month, Girls released its soundtrack, Girls Volume 2: All Adventurous Women Do, featuring Allen's giddy song "L8 CMMR." "I think the show is brilliant, so it was more or less a no brainer for me," she tells Rolling Stone.
The two have an unusual history together. Allen appeared on "Drivin' Me Wild," a 2007 Common track produced by West for his album Finding Forever. In 2011, West earned the ire of Allen after tweeting "An abortion can cost a ballin' nigga up to 50gs maybe a 100," he posted. "Gold diggin' bitches be getting pregnant on purpose. #STRAPUP my niggas!" The tweet has since been deleted, but caused Allen to reply, "Never has a tweet put me in such a bad mood. This is wrong on so many levels."
