LCD Soundsystem Announce Brooklyn Residency

By Noah Yoo.

LCD Soundsystem have announced a new Brooklyn residency at the new venue Brooklyn Steel. The band will perform one show each night from April 6-11 (with no show on Sunday, April 9). See a poster for the performances below. LCD’s shows mark the first concerts at Brooklyn Steel, which is the latest concert venue from the Bowery Presents, the longstanding New York promotions organization that was recently acquired by entertainment company AEG.

LCD Soundsystem’s latest song, “Christmas Will Break Your Heart,” arrived on Christmas Eve 2015. Since then, they signed to Columbia Records, and also embarked on a world tour, which included Coachella 2016. This past January, James Murphy said they are “still working on [a new album], but it’ll be done soon.”

LCD Soundsystem are headlining this year’s Pitchfork Music Festival. Get tickets to their Friday performance here.
