Lady Gaga is set to perform live at this year's MTV Video Music Awards in New York on August 25th. According to MTV, she will perform the first single off her upcoming album, ARTPOP, out on November 11th.
The performance at the Barclay's Center in Brooklyn will be the singer's first since she suffered a hip injury earlier this year, forcing her to cancel 21 dates on her Born This Way tour. The VMA set will also mark the first performance of the debut single from ARTPOP.
Gaga is the first big name to announce a performance at the awards show. MTV says additional performers will be announced soon. This year, Justin Timberlake and Macklemore and Ryan Lewis led the pack of award nominations with six nods each, including for Video of the Year.
