Following Tuesday night's election results, Killer Mike stopped by daytime talk show The Real on Weds. morning (Nov. 9), and offered his stance on the election and his theory on how Donald Trump actually won during the show's "Girl Chat: Election Edition" segment.
When it came to the 2016 presidential election, Killer Mike wasn't afraid to publicly denounce the two presidential candidates, saying that voting for either candidate was "voting for the same thing." As he sat down to discuss the election results with The Real's hosts, Mike explained why he thinks the results turned out the way they did.
"I think poor white people are mad, because the system that promises you something based on that isn't ever going to give you that," he offered. "I think that people who look like all the people on this panel -- black, brown and all types of hues in between -- I think that we have been used by a party to the liberal side that, once in office, has not enacted policy that was reflective of stuff that would bring our communities up."
The Run the Jewels MC has often used his Twitter page to voice his opinions on the topics that have captured headlines in recent months, from police brutality to gun control. Continuing his discussion on The Real, the rapper tied up his message by encouraging people to call their local government offices to facilitate an on-going dialog for the future.
"This is our country. You vote people in, people are appointed because of your will," he said. "So what you guys have to do is stay vigilant about making sure that this country is progressing. We are definitely going to see a female president within our lifetime."
