Kesha And Zedd Confirm Release Of ‘True Colors’

After teasing fans with photos of their studio session on social media, Kesha and Zedd have confirmed that they are releasing new music together.

That song? A new version of his 2015 track ‘True Colors’, which they’ll be releasing tomorrow, April 29.

Sharing a photo of the single artwork on Instagram, Kesha simply wrote ‘#truecolors’ over and over in the caption, while Zedd said: “ZEDD & KESHA - TRUE COLORS OFFICIALLY OUT: 4/29

“Music can be freedom.”

Kesha is, of course, locked in a legal battle with Dr Luke, who she alleges drugged her and ‘sexually, physically, verbally and emotionally’ abused her.

She’s been fighting to be let out of her contract with Sony and Dr Luke’s Kemosabe Records. Earlier this month, a judge rejected Kesha’s bid to appeal the court’s decision of denying her her request to be freed.

Kesha has since claimed that she was offered her freedom if she publicly ‘lied, apologised and said she never got raped’.

Dr Luke, real name Lukasz Gottwald, denies the allegations.

Explaining how Kesha can release new music with Zedd amid the legal battle, the producer tweeted: “Just to clarify: We didn’t use any loop holes. Kemosabe / RCA gave us permission to release this song!”

Dr Luke responded: “Thanks for the clarification @Zedd …”

Kesha actually performed the track during Zedd’s set at Coachella earlier this month, posting a photo of the crowd on Instagram and writing: “thank u @zedd for letting me share the stage with u at @coachella last night!!! dreams come true I was SO so so nervous haha. magical times”.
