Don't wait, dig in: Katy Perry has shared her sweet new treat, "Bon Appetit."
The second taste from her forthcoming fifth album, "Bon Appetit" dropped at the chime of midnight with assists from Migos' Quavo, Offset and Takeoff, who get cooking with their own verses.
"Cause I'm all that you want, boy/All that you can have, boy/Got me spread like a buffet/Bon appétit, baby," Perry sings on her new tune. Quavo lets rip with two heavily Autotuned verses, including this line late in the track: "Sweet tooth, no tooth fairy/Whipped cream, no dairy/She got her hot light on, screaming, "I'm ready"/No horses, no carriage."
The saucy pop-meets-hip-hop tune follows "Chained to the Rhythm," featuring Skip Marley, which arrived in February and peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 last month.
Perry has had fun playing head chef in a "World's Best Cherry Pie" social media stunt in which she's been encouraging fans to bake their own pies...and memes, based on the artwork for "Bon Appetit." The singing star is booked as a musical guest on Saturday Night Live for May 20, which could mark the TV debut of the new single.
