Katie Bell, an 18-year-old Katy Perry superfan from Benton, Louisiana, died on Saturday (Mar. 25) in a car accident. As reported by ABC affiliate KTBS, Bell lost control of her car while driving and collided head-on with another vehicle, killing both drivers.
News of Katie's tragic death spread on the Internet, spawning the #RIPKatycatKatie hashtag. The story eventually caught the attention of Perry herself, who tweeted out a Twitter video of Katie's this morning (Mar. 28), along with the message "We see you angel and we love and will miss you. KC's, light a candle for Katie. Rest In Peace."
