Justin Timberlake will perform at the Circuit of The Americas for the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix event, which will take place in Austin Oct. 21. COTA, known for its 3.4-mile racetrack, hosts the most prominent world-class sporting events including racing, action sports and music.
The ten time Grammy-winner will headline the post-race concert during the three-day affair and joins the ranks of Taylor Swift, Usher and The Roots, who performed at last year's venue.
"We're thrilled to have Justin Timberlake perform at this year's United States Grand Prix," says Bobby Epstein, Chairman of Circuit of The Americas. "After five years, the F1 USGP weekend at COTA has evolved into an annual destination where residents and visitors alike can experience a combination of world-class music, entertainment and motorsports. The combination of the incredible entertainment off and on-track with the amazing backdrop of Austin -- and everything it has to offer -- provides fans with an exhilarating weekend that simply cannot be missed."
The exciting and interactive weekend also includes a special pop-up dinner series, "Common Threads Chef Takeover," that involves appearances from renowned chefs.
The event marks the first full-on concert Timberlake has announced for 2017. Although he hasn't released any new music (or even announced when fans can expect some fresh material) since "Can't Stop the Feeling!," Timberlake recently dropped hints that it is coming soon -- and just the night before his Grand Prix announcement, the singer shared a rather cryptic Instagram hanging out with Pharrell Williams and Timbaland. With seven months to go until his big performance, there's plenty of time for those hints to come to fruition.
