John Mayer showed his folk side last night on the Late Show With David Letterman with a performance of "Wildfire" off new album Paradise Valley. The singer andsongwriter wore a headscarf, jeans and jacket emblazoned with a peace sign as he clapped and crooned "Because a little bit of summer is what the whole year is all about."
Paradise Valley is Mayer's sixth studio LP and follows Born and Raised, which came out last year. The album features collaborations with on-and-off again girlfriend Katy Perry and Frank Ocean. Mayer is currently in the middle of an extensive tour, his first in three years after a granuloma was removed from his vocal cords.
Paradise Valley comes out today.
