Joey Feek of the Grammy-winning husband-and-wife duo Joey + Rory will make her solo country debut in April, more than one year after her she died of stage 4 cervical cancer on March 4, 2016.
A collection of the later singer's solo material titled If Not For You will be released on April 7 via Gaither Music Group. The 12-track set comprises traditional country material Feek recorded in 2005 (then Joey Martin) and was only available in limited quantities through the Joey + Rory website. It was originally titled Strong Enough to Cry and was produced by her husband, Rory Feek, and Bill McDermott.
An original, solo version of the couple's "That's Important to Me" will be included on the album. The song was written with late songwriter Tim Johnson and appeared on Joey + Rory 2010 sophomore full-length, Album Number Two.
Other songs included are "See You There," a tribute to Feek's brother who died in a 1994 car accident when he was 17, and "Red," which remembered her dog who died in 2010. Watch the video for "Red" below.
Physical copies of If Not For You will include a 48-page booklet with photos and stories from the couple's marriage and career.
