You had to have seen this one coming. Beyoncé’s controversial and massively successful Lemonade album addressed relationship issues pretty directly, fueling rumors that Jay Z cheated on Bey. “This is your final warning… If you try this shit again, you lose your wife,” she warns on “Don’t Hurt Yourself.”

Beyoncé’s father Mathew Knowles suggests to Us Weekly that the album may be rooted in fiction: “People want to make it about her. Maybe she dug deep and made it about something we all could relate to.” But others are convinced that this is her way of dealing with private drama in a very public way. Either way, it’s Beyoncé’s most humanizing work yet.

Now an inside source tells Us Weekly that Jay Z is “working on an album telling his side of things.” It’s an obvious move for 46-year-old Jay, who hasn’t released an album since 2013’s Magna Carta Holy Grail. There’s speculation that this was the plan all along, and a clever way to boost the relevancy of both artists while also driving fans to Tidal.

If it is a big publicity stunt, it’s working. According to the New York Times, Lemonade racked up 115 million streams in its first week.
