Janet Jackson Releases ‘Dammn Baby’ Music Video, Dances Around Pregnancy Rumors
In music, and specifically R&B, the word “baby” is usually reserved for ex-lovers, lovers, and soon-to-be lovers. But yesterday, as headlines circulated that Janet Jackson is possibly pregnant with her first child, she released the video for “Dammn Baby” – a decision that seems to be a sly take on the swirling rumors.
The singer hasn’t made an official announcement but in April, Jackson shared a video saying she was delaying her tour so she and her husband could plan a family. She also said, “I have to rest up, doctor’s orders.”

It’s unclear when the video for “Dammn Baby” was shot, or whether the singer was expecting at the time, but the song itself is off her 2015 album Unbreakable and was probably not written with pregnancy in mind.
Jackson married businessman Wissam Al Mana in 2012. Her Unbreakable World Tour is scheduled to resume in 2017. Watch the video for “Dammn Baby” below:
