Although Jake Bugg is performing today in Copenhagen, Denmark, his performance at Vega is streaming right here. The singer and songwriter is expected to play songs off his new album, Shangri La, which is available here for pre-order.
Bugg, who roots his sound in classic Johnny Cash, Neil Young and early rock & roll, and is featured in the November 23rd issue of Rolling Stone, has been quickly making a name for himself. Last year he was the youngest male artist in U.K. chart history to debut at Number One. This summer, he spent a few weeks working with famed producer Rick Rubin on Shangri-La, telling Rolling Stone, "Rick just kind of dragged [the songs] out of me so that I could create space for even more songs."
The new album includes the tracks "Slumville Sunrise" (which premiered on RollingStone.com), along with the drug-business tale "Kingpin" and the charging rocker "There's a Beast and We All Feed It."
If you miss today's livestream, you can still catch Bugg on tour this winter.
