Jack Garratt Sent His Album to President Obama and Got an Awesome Letter Back From POTUS

President Obama is a busy guy. Sliding into the home stretch of his second term, there are a lot of domestic and international events that grab his attention every day as he tries to avoid the executive-level senioritis that creeps up on the leader of the free world less than two months before his successor is chosen.

But, as our first "swagalicious" POTUS (according to FLOTUS), Obama is clearly finding time to enjoy the ride as well. As reported by NME, British singer-songwriter Jack Garratt revealed that he recently had a most amazing back-and-forth with the president. Garratt sent Obama a copy of his debut album Phase earlier this year and on Wednesday (Sept. 21) he shared the commander in chief's response.

"A few months ago @POTUS was in London and I sent him a copy of Phase with a note that thanked him for bringing the world closer together," Garratt tweeted. "That I was proud to be part of a generation that saw first hand the efforts that went into trying to eradicate hate and promote equality."

And then, the payoff: the letter from Obama. "Thank you for your kind gift," it reads. "I want you to know I am moved by your generosity. Though we all come from different traditions and communities, I believe nations and individuals are stronger when they work together. By connecting across borders and cultures and holding firm to the ideals that unite us, we can move toward a future of greater peace and prosperity for all."
