By Matthew Strauss.

In 2016, HBO aired a documentary about J. Cole and the tour behind his record 2014 Forest Hills Drive. Today, HBO has announced a new documentary, J. Cole: 4 Your Eyez Only, A Dreamville Film, as Entertainment Weekly reports. The one-hour film premieres on Saturday, April 15 at 10 p.m. Eastern. In it, Cole performs music from 4 Your Eyez Only. There is also footage from cities like Baton Rouge and Fayetteville, North Carolina (where Cole is from). “The documentary promises to illustrate how their struggles over viable housing, voting laws for felons, integration, and more mirror the frustrations felt across the nation,” according to EW. It’s directed by J. Cole and Scott Lazer (who did the previous HBO doc). Watch a trailer for the new HBO doc below.

Prior to the release of his album, released a 40-minute film calledEyez. It included behind-the-scenes footage of recording, as well as the tracks “Everybody Dies” and “False Prophets.” Lazer also directed Eyez.

J. Cole’s tour behind 4 Your Eyez Only begins in June. Find his upcoming tour dates here.
