Hear It First: Talib Kweli, Redman, Wrekonize Collab on DJ EFN Album
After long establishing himself as a leading mixtape DJ and music industry exec, Miami’s DJ EFN prepares to release his debut album, Another Time, which includes the song “Paradise” that premieres on Yahoo Music Wednesday.
The song features Talib Kweli, Wrekonize, and Redman describing utopia over a heavenly Rhodes-keys and easy kick drum-heavy track produced by The Guild.
"Paradise" is one of 21 original songs on the set that unite veteran and rising MCs. Some of the luminaries onboard include M.O.P., Gunplay, Kurupt, Scarface, Troy Ave, Smif-N-Wesson, Killer Mike, Dead Prez, Keith Murray, Bun B, and Joell Ortiz.
Says DJ EFN, “I’m trying to embody the spirit of mixtapes with my first all original album.” Another Time is due out on March 3 on EFN’s Crazy Hood Productions.
