Hear It First: J. Drew Sheard’s ‘All I Need Is You’ feat. Elijah Blake
J. Drew Sheard is a part of music royalty. His mother, Karen Clark Sheard, is member of the legendary gospel sister act the Clark Sisters. His sister, Kierra “KiKi” Sheard, is one of the genre’s fresh young voices, and he is a singer and producer in his own right, snagging a production deal with Pharrell’s Star Trak Records and an artist deal with LiveTMG.

The artist, who appeared on his family’s The Sheards reality series on BET, is releasing his latest EP, The Long Way Home, on Tuesday, and Yahoo Music is pleased to premiere his song “All I Need Is You,” featuring Elijah Blake.
On the jazzy ballad, Sheard finally gives into to love, singing: “I can take a bullet/But love’s a deadly device.” Later he commits: “I promise my love for you will never change.” Blake complements the record with his impressive falsetto on the third verse.
