Hear It First: Inobe Delivers Acoustic Soul on ‘Find Me’

Not many independent recording artists can boast having their music discussed in one New York Times bestseller. But soul singer Inobe has two impressive references to her credit. Her music is inspiration for the lead characters in Eric Jerome Dickey’s Naughty or Nice and Chasing Destiny.

For an example why the songstress who takes a refreshing, acoustic R&B approach to her work would garner such acclaim, enjoy a first listen her song “Find Me.” The soothing ballad that premieres exclusively on Yahoo Music is a track from her self-titled album, out Friday, April 24. Inobe’s sensual, delicate styling evokes memories of the late soul goddess Minnie Riperton. The music offers an eclectic blend of violins, bass and congas complimented with a dose of Spanish guitar.

A true artist, Inobe’s album cover features one of her original paintings. Additionally, the songwriter with Florida-Georgia roots has performed five USO tour tours, playing for U.S. troops in more than a dozen countries, among them Cuba, Kuwait and Afghanistan.
