As if there weren’t already enough remixes of Drake’s “Hotline Bling” for you to enjoy, Iman Shumpert decided it was time to get in on the action.

The Cavaliers guard is no stranger to the rap game. Heading into the playoffs last season, he recorded an anthem for the quest to end Cleveland’s championship drought – but alas, the team came up short. He released another track soon after inking a $40-million deal to stay with the Cavaliers in the offseason, this time about life back in Chicago and the downside of having millions to one’s name. And, unlike essentially every other NBA player who ever fancied himself a rapper, Shump actually belongs in the booth.

While the NBA’s regular season tips off later this month, Shumpert is expected to be out until at least January as he recovers from wrist surgery. So, when he’s not working his way back into shape, screwing around with J.R. Smith or gearing up for life as a dad, he’s jumping on a remix of Drake’s latest hit – which, at the time of this writing, has already been reworked by the likes of Disclosure and Sam Smith, Keyshia Cole and Erykah Badu. And he’s getting topical.

On the track, Shump raps about his new contract, his flair for flashy plays (“I know they love that highlight reel/That’s why they focus on the Jumbotron”), and the Cavaliers’ painful loss to the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals.

Like we said, pretty good. One word of advice for Shump, though: Just don’t steal Lil B’s flow. We all know that would be a terrible idea.
