Harry Styles Has Chosen A Solo Career Over Acting

Remember before One Direction even announced their eighteen-month hiatus and all these know-it-all sources and mysterious insiders insisted that Harry Styles was set to leave the band to become the next Jude Law?

Well, turns out those reports were a whole lot of rubbish.

There’s a surprise, eh?

The rumour mill went into overdrive re: Harry’s upcoming Hollywood career when the four remaining 1D band members went their separate ways for a well-deserved break, but it has now been reported that the 22-year-old will definitely not be trying his hand at acting.

And he’s even enlisted One Direction’s songwriter, Jamie Scott, to help him with a solo career.

Interesting.

A source explained: “Harry is aware he was the most popular member of the band but is determined not to end up in a Robbie Williams-Gary Barlow situation or play second fiddle to Zayn.

"Zayn beat Harry out of the traps by getting his solo material out first but Harry is confident playing the long game will pay off.”

And Harry even has the fans at the forefront of his mind, with the insider adding to The Mirror: “Unlike Zayn, Harry doesn’t want to stray too far and alienate the 1D fan base – but he does want to make his own mark.

"Jamie knows how to write a song that suits Harry’s voice.”

The source didn’t go so far as to say when we should be expecting Harry’s solo efforts, but Zayn’s debut solo album ‘Mind Of Mine’ is set to be released on March 25th - the one year anniversary of when he walked out on One Direction midway through their tour.
