Grizfolk Talks Genre-Bending Sound, New Orleans, and Aerosmith
Alternative rock band Grizfolk may be based in Los Angeles, but the group boasts roots in Sweden – and has a sound as wide as the distance between its current and historic homes. Quickly gaining attention as a band to watch locally, Grizfolk released a debut album in 2014 and its influence on modern rock continues to grow.
The band showed off its stuff during a set shot at the 2015 Voodoo Music + Arts Experience in the Toyota Tent in conjunction with SPIN, and also took the time to chat about its happenings of late – including its various genre mixes, influences (all agree on Aerosmith!), and the joy of playing in one of the coolest cities in America.
The Voodoo Music + Arts Experience took place over Halloween weekend in New Orleans’ City Park.
