Earlier tonight a commercial for the 2016 Grammys aired during the Super Bowl, highlighting some of the artists who would be performing at this year’s ceremony (watch above). Previously announced artists like Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj, The Weeknd, and Rihanna, appeared, as did Drake. Almost immediately after the commercial aired, however, Drake responded with the (impressively sassy) tweet below, claiming he won’t be performing.

Is this all a trick to set up a surprise performance? Was there a massive miscommunication between Drake’s camp and the Grammys? Whatever happened, at the moment, it looks to be an embarrassing situation for the Grammys, especially since their commercial aired during the most watched TV event of the year.

The Grammys ceremony goes down on Monday, February 15. Drake is nominated for four Grammys this year, Best Rap Performance (“Back to Back”), Best Rap/Sung Collaboration (“Only”), Best Rap Song (“Energy”) and Best Rap Album (If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late). Kendrick Lamar leads Grammy nominations with eleven.
