Frank Ocean's Australian tour has been canceled due to a torn vocal cord. The singer suffered throat problems at the first show on Thursday, and a doctor discovered a small tear to a vocal cord.
"After last night's concert . . . it was necessary to seek medical advice due to vocal issues Frank Ocean experienced during the show," said tour promoter Live Nation.
Ocean's first Australian tour kicked off Thursday night in Melbourne, where the singer was reportedly performing off-key, and the show closed without an encore.
The tour centered on a performance at Splendour in the Grass on Sunday, but the appearance has been canceled. Additionally, tonight's performance and two dates next week have been pulled while Ocean recovers.
