Fareoh's past remixes have proven that his bubbly electronic style can exist alongside the beats of both Selena Gomez's "Hands To Myself" and Skizzy Mars' "Alcoholics". After months of remixing other artists' work, Fareoh has released his own single "Illegal" -- premiering exclusively on Billboard -- and tapped songstress Katelyn Tarver for supporting vocals.
"Illegal" features hints of tropical elements as Tarver's melodic vocals float effortlesly over the airy production. "Illegal is about the universal feeling of wanting someone you wish you didn't. Maybe an ex, maybe someone you know is probably not the best for you, etc." Tarver reveals to Billboard. "We've all been there."
"Illegal" arrives as the follow up to Fareoh's "Light It Up", which was released back in July. "Since it's so bright and bold, we were able to bring in some melancholy with the lyrics and create a song that hopefully makes you feel as much as it makes you dance," the singer explains.
