Fall Out Boy to Play Madison With Yahoo! On the Road

Janoa Taylor

The Midwest is in for a treat on Monday, May 13, with the Yahoo! On the Road tour featuring Fall Out Boy. Considering the Chicago-area band is about to go on a nearly sold-out tour, Yahoo! is giving us a golden chance to catch them in concert in Madison, Wisconsin, at the Majestic Theatre. For many Chicago Fall Out Boy loyalists, Madison is too close to miss this event.

Yahoo! On the Road

To put it simply, Yahoo! On the Road is a road trip through 27 cities with 20 music acts, 10 comedians, and impressive technology. It's the world's first mobile innovation and entertainment festival, with many concerts being livestreamed for the world to see. This tour is not your average road show; Yahoo! has put some of the hottest performers on the ticket. John Legend lit up New York City, Michael Yo cracked a few cities up, Kendrick Lamar rocked Cincinnati, and now Fall Out Boy is coming to Madison to show off their latest work. After the U.S. tour, which ends in San Francisco on May 31, On the Road will travel to Europe and tour from Berlin to the last stop in London on July 14.

How to Score a Ticket to the Madison Show

For each concert, Yahoo! will give away ticket vouchers to fans who find the On the Road crew and check out some of Yahoo!'s newest apps, like Flickr or Yahoo! Weather.

Here's where you can catch the crew on Sunday, May 12, to score your voucher for Monday's show in Madison:

10 a.m.-4 p.m., University of Wisconsin Union South, main level in front of The Sett

1308 W. Dayton St., Madison

Your voucher may be redeemed for a ticket to see Fall Out Boy at the Majestic on Monday, May 13. Doors open at 8 p.m. Early arrival is strongly suggested, as vouchers will be redeemed for tickets at the venue on a first-come, first-served basis. When the venue is full, no more vouchers will be accepted.

A limited number of guaranteed tickets will be available for download via Ticketmaster. Check the Yahoo! On the Road Twitter page or the tour's Facebook page for more information.

Don't miss a beat. Everyone everywhere can livestream Monday's show, along with many others along the way, online at Yahoo! Music.

Fall Out Boy

In 2001, Chicago-area boys Pete Wentz, Patrick Stump, Joe Trohman, and Andy Hurley formed Fall Out Boy. The lyrical genius of Wentz combined with Stump's composing made for huge success and a break from Chicago's underground music world. By 2003, they were writing songs about home titled "Chicago Is So Two Years Ago" before topping the charts with singles like "Sugar, We're Goin Down" and "Dance, Dance."

After going different directions for four years, the band is finally back together. They announced in February they were putting out a new album, "Save Rock and Roll," and going on tour. Their fans were so thrilled, concerts began selling out, and Fall Out Boy began filling up arenas. Their newest single, "My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up)," is climbing the charts.
