Executive Turntable: New Hires at CMT, Spotify, Madison Square Garden Company & More


-- CMT has appointed Shaleen Desai to the newly created role of Vice President of Scripted Programming. Desai joins CMT from Jason Bateman's Aggregate Films, where she was Executive Vice President. 

-- Sony/ATV Music Publishing has promoted both Tyler Childs, who will now serve as Vice President, and Lou Al-Chamaa, who will take on the role of Senior Director. Childs has been with the company since 2012, Al-Chamaa since 2014. 

-- Both Spotify and Pandora now have representatives on the Music Business Association board: Elizabeth Moody, Pandora's Vice President of Global Content Licensing, has filled one previous vacancy and Rob Harvey, Spotify's Head of Label Relations in North America, has filled the other. 

-- Bruno Crolot has been named Spotify's new General Manager for France and Benelux. Prior to his new role, he has worked at Universal Music, Sony Music, Noos and Orange. 

-- Kerri Fox-Metoyer has been named vice president of music strategy & partnerships by talent agency APA. Fox-Metoyer, who will be based out of APA's Nashville office, will spearhead strategic campaigns for the agency's entire music roster, as well as various brand partnership initiatives. Prior to joining APA, Fox-Metoyer served as vp of strategic partnerships at ONE SONY.

-- London based artist management company ie:music has announced a series of internal promotions. Tim Clark, co-founder of the company, has been promoted to Chairman following the death of co-founder David Enthoven. Additionally, Dan Medland and Michael Loney have been promoted to the positions of joint Managing Director. 

-- Red Bull Records has named Jamie Garabedian as new Director of Publicity and Communications. Prior to joining Red Bull, Garabedian worked as Director of Publicity at Vagrant Records/BMG US. 

-- Avi Kent has been named Senior Vice President, Festivals and Content, by the Madison Square Garden Company. 

-- Vevo has appointed Jon Gisby to the role of Head of Europe. He has spent over 20 years as a digital media executive among various companies such as BBC, Yahoo!, and more. 

-- Omar Johnson, Beats By Dre's Chief Marketing Officer, has announced he will leave the company effective in November. 

-- Make Music New York has named James Burke as Executive Director of the organization. Previously, Burke has worked at City Parks Foundation and Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center.

-- International music group Audio Network has appointed Robb Smith as its new Group CEO. 

-- Warner Music Group has named Magnus Ribbeklint as General Manager of Sweden, and Mark Fry as General Manager of Finland. The two will also maintain their current marketing roles. 

-- Digital distribution and publishing administration provider TuneCore has acquired JustGo. Additionally, TuneCore is launching TuneCore Social, an all-encompassing social media management analytics tool geared towards musicians.

-- Spirit Music Group has promoted Lisa Macy to Vice President, Film & Television. In her five years with the company thus far, she has helped find songs for films and television shows including: Deadpool, Pitch Perfect, Minions, Empire and more. 

-- Zach Katz, current President Repertoire and Marketing at BMG US, was elected to the ASCAP Board of Directors.
