Donald Glover Continues to Tease Collab Project With Chance the Rapper

Donald Glover spoke on the possibility of a collaborative project with Chance the Rapper following his big night at the Emmys.

Donald Glover capped off his big night at the Emmys by sharing what his future plans are in music, and more specifically, with Chance the Rapper.

While backstage at the Emmys, the 33-year-old actor, rapper, and director fielded a question about his musical endeavors:

"I don't ever want to do anything because I'm forced to. I think once you do that, things start to get bad and you jump the shark. Also, I feel like if I don't make a Chance the Rapper mixtape, like double mixtape, a bunch of 14-year-olds are gonna kick my ass. They stop me on the street; it kind of scares me. So I feel like I gotta do something. I probably will."

The idea of a Glover (under Childish Gambino) and Chance collaborative project has been in the air since 2014, and most recently teased at the top of the year. In an interview with Big Boy, Glover said they "sat down in the studio and were talking for a little bit," but didn't confirm any music was recorded. He's also been a very busy man outside of music, with multiple projects, including season 2 of Atlanta, becoming his main focus.

It may take some time, but eventually we'll get to hear what these two cook up in the studio. You can watch Donald Glover's full backstage interview at the Emmys below, with the music talk starting around the 5:20 mark.
