DJ Khaled's star-studded single "I'm the One" could launch with a No. 1 debut on next week's Billboard Hot 100 chart (dated May 20). The song features Justin Bieber, Quavo (of Migos), Chance the Rapper and Lil Wayne.
Highlights of the next week's Hot 100 will post on Billboard.com Monday (May 8), with all charts updating online Tuesday.
Following its first full week of activity, industry forecasters suggest that "One," released Friday, April 28, could sell more than 150,000 downloads in the tracking week ending May 4, easily arriving as the week's top-selling song. When finalized streaming (likely more than 40 million U.S. streams in the week ending May 4) and radio airplay (more than 25 million in all-format audience in the week ending May 7) are added to the mix, the track should challenge for the chart's top spot. (The Hot 100 blends U.S. streaming, airplay and sales data.)
If "One" debuts at its namesake rank on the Hot 100, it would mark both DJ Khaled and Chance the Rapper's first Hot 100 leader, as well as Quavo's first as a soloist. Khaled previously reached a No. 10 high with 2011's "I'm on One," featuring Drake, Rick Ross and Lil Wayne.
A No. 1 entrance for "One" would also make for the third consecutive song to hit the summit in three weeks; Bruno Mars' "That's What I Like" rose 2-1 on the May 13-dated chart, dethroning Kendrick Lamar's "Humble.," which jumped 3-1 on the May 6 tally.
"One" already bounded in at No. 1 on the real-time Billboard + Twitter Trending 140 chart just after its release (April 28).
