Dismemberment Plan Stream New Single, 'Waiting'

On October 15th, acclaimed D.C. indie-rockers Dismemberment Plan will release Uncanney Valley, their first new album in 12 years. Now the band is celebrating the release of their new single, "Waiting," with some quirky audience participation: their brand-new website prompts fans to dial a band-related phone number (252-64-DPLAN), which leads to a stream of the track.

"Waiting" finds the band in surprisingly bright territory, blending Travis Morrison's quirky vocals with snaky synths and a funky bassline.

Uncanney Valley, the band's first full-length since 2001's Change, was announced  last month. The band first reunited in 2011 for a tour based around the reissue of their 1999 landmark album, Emergency and I.
