Delonte West Was Found Barefoot Due To Taking The Wrong Medication
A couple of weeks ago, former NBA star Delonte West was spotted walking barefoot in a Jack In The Box parking lot in Houston, and the image was posted on Instagram. Since then, reports have surfaced stating that West was in fact given the wrong medicine for his mental illness at the institution he was staying in at the time. Essentially, the incorrect medication was causing him to hallucinate, according to TMZ Sports.
A close friend of West’s told the news site that the 32 year-old is getting treatment for his bi-polar disorder with the help of his friends, family, the NBA and his former agent.
“Delonte was at a facility where he received the wrong medication. He began hallucinating,” he said. “Because of the hallucinations he walked out of the facility, barefoot, in the hospital gown. He went to go get food. That’s when he was video taped and photographed.”
It’s nice to hear Delonte is getting the proper help he needs; hopefully things will get better for him moving forward.
