Dell's Latitude 13 3000 Series 2-in-1 is a flexible hybrid with a compelling price point
Dell's latest hybrid aimed at enterprise customers is the Latitude 13 3000 Series 2-in-1, a cost-effective system that offers plenty of flexibility and functionality for an agreeable price.

There was a time when tablets were largely restricted to home use, but the advent of 2-in-1 devices and their subsequent boom in popularity has made this kind of system much more popular in the enterprise market. Now, Dell has revealed its latest hybrid aimed squarely at small and medium businesses.

The Dell Latitude 13 3000 Series Convertible boasts an arresting 13.3-inch FHD display with a 360-degree hinge that lends the device its adaptability. This design provides four distinct modes of operation — laptop, tent, stand, and tablet — intended to facilitate everything from typing up a report to presenting work to your colleagues.

Under the hood, the 3000 Series Convertible utilizes a sixth-generation Intel Skylake-U processor, with optional graphics upgrades also being made available to customers, according to a report from MS Power User. Given that Intel recently launched its range of seventh-generation processors, the decision to use slightly older components was likely made to keep costs down.

The system also features advanced connectivity options in the form of a USB Type-C port, which can be used to relay power, data, and audio depending on the needs of any given situation. There’s also a USB 3.0 port to ensure that the hybrid will be compatible with a host of modern peripherals.

Meanwhile, a Windows Hello-capable infrared camera will ensure that users can uphold a high level of security on their work computer. The system supports Windows Hello out of the box, which means that you can log in simply by looking directly at the camera.

The standard Dell Latitude 13 3000 Series 2-in-1 features an Intel Pentium Dual Core processor, 4GB of RAM, and a 128 GB solid state drive at a price of $699 — optional upgrades are available at a higher price.
