Last night on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, after receiving a rousing intro by the show's host, Dan Aykroyd made a surprise entrance as Elwood Blues of the notorious Blues Brothers. The comedian gave a performance of "Born in Chicago," dressed in his signature getup (black sunglasses, black suit and black fedora), and led the audience on a romp through the studio before settling down for an interview.
Even after the death of his partner-in-crime John Belushi, Aykroyd still takes the Blues Brothers on the road. They frequently play House of Blues venues and casinos in North America, and Elwood Blues continues to host the radio program House of Blues Radio Hour. One thing's clear: though it's been years since they shook things up dressed as killer bees on Saturday Night Live, the Blues Brothers are still on a mission from God.
