Classic Albums Remade: Bob Dylan, ‘Blonde on Blonde’

Bob Dylan is the most influential singer-songwriter in the history of music. Please note the lack of qualifiers in that sentence. I did not say “the most influential American singer-songwriter” or “arguably, the most influential.” Dylan is simply THE most influential, hands-down.

He doesn’t have the greatest voice and he’s not the greatest guitar player, but his songwriting chops are legendary. Bob Dylan’s work has inspired millions of kids to pick up an acoustic guitar and give songwriting a try. Some of these kids have gone onto very successful careers in music.

This playlist features cover versions of all the songs on Dylan’s 1966 double-album Blonde on Blonde, an album that Rolling Stone rated the ninth best album of all time.
