Classic Albums Remade: Black Sabbath, 'Paranoid'

For “Classic Album Remade” playlists, we pick a timeless album and recreate it with cover songs. It’s a great way to revisit an album while hearing it in a new light.

Paranoid was Black Sabbath’s second studio album, released in 1970. The album spawned a bunch of classic rock staples, including “Iron Man,” “Paranoid,” and “War Pigs,” and Rolling Stone crowned it the 130th best album of all time back in 2003. It hit #1 on the U.K. albums chart in 1970 and peaked at #12 on the US Billboard Hot 100.

This imagining of the classic album is missing the instrumental “Rat Salad,” but all the other songs are here in the correct order.
